On World Book Day, Debating club had their first match in the league against Feniscowles.
The motions for the debates were:-
This house believes that sports day should be non-competitive.
This house believes that social media should be banned for under 16's.
Both teams debated really well making lots of points of information. Special mention to Emma, Violet and Yasmin for brilliant debating, Ryan for competing in your first debate brilliantly and Alfie for your accurate timekeeping. Well done to both teams! It was a very close match. Avondale came out victorious in both debates. A fantastic result!
